Laurie Tarkan is a Senior Health Writer for Embody. She has an extensive background in health journalism and wrote regularly for The New York Times for more than a decade. She got her start at Self magazine and has been a frequent contributor to a host of women's and health magazines and websites.
Tarkan is also the author of several health books, including My Mother's Breast: Daughters Face Their Mothers’ Cancer and Perfect Hormone Balance for Fertility: The Ultimate Guide to Getting Pregnant. She received her master’s degree in journalism from New York University.
