Professional Background
Roz Mays has dedicated many late nights at the gym to helping people overcome gym-timidation through pole dancing, TRX, mobility work, and strength training. Her keynotes and motivational talks inspire people of all body types AND their trainers to meet their goals.
Philosophy and Approach
Everyone deserves the benefits of an active lifestyle. Mays knows firsthand how difficult it is to start and maintain a fitness regime while living in a marginalized body. As a plus-sized Black woman living in New York, she’s often ignored by the fitness industry. When she is acknowledged, her body is often seen as a problem to be solved. This is precisely why she is focused on making fitness accessible to all athletes with guidance and support delivered with confidence and joy.
Awards and Programs
Over the last two decades, Mays has taught pole dancing, TRX, BOSU, conditioning, and flexibility classes in 42 states and 9 countries. Recently, she added teacher training programs and speaking engagements to her portfolio of services.
