Writer

Elaine Duncan is a writer, speaker, and strategist whose work bridges storytelling, healing, and social change. Diagnosed in her 50s with ADHD and complex PTSD, she writes with candor in her debut book, Mercy.

Professional Background

Elaine Duncan began her career at Morgan Stanley and rose to vice president of marketing for a Wall Street portfolio manager before shifting into corporate social responsibility and nonprofit leadership.

Over the past two decades, she has held executive and consulting roles with organizations including America’s Promise Alliance, Special Olympics International, National 4-H Council, Susan G. Komen, Ritz-Carlton, and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Her personal healing journey has been equally transformative. Through the Hoffman Process, yoga, cold therapy, breathwork, and plant medicine ceremonies, she has explored new and progressive pathways to wholeness.

Diagnosed in her 50s with ADHD and complex PTSD, she writes with candor about resilience, identity, and belonging.

Duncan divides her time between Ajijic, Mexico, and Golden, Colorado, where she lives with her husband and their Brittany spaniel, Shilo.

Her debut book, Mercy: A Memoir of Survival, Silence, and the Search for Belonging, traces her journey of healing and self-discovery.
